Welcome to Batami Pundak

Batami comes to us from Fertility Associates, with extensive experience in a range of executive management roles and project work for the former Waikato DHB.

Batami is passionate about leading diverse teams to achieve performance goals through improved efficiency, robust systems, and most importantly – relationship building, mutual respect and a strong sense of loyalty.

Her business acumen and experience as a hands-on operational leader will be invaluable in supporting PHCL to achieve its strategic goals and continue delivering on its purpose to improve health and wellbeing outcomes in Aotearoa.

Batami has spent her first few weeks visiting our practices and says she has been delighted to meet teams who are truly passionate about providing the best possible health care for our communities. 

"Health system reform will take us on a journey of change, and in future general practice will play an even more pivotal role in how patients engage with other health and social services," says Batami. 

"I feel excited, honoured and privileged to lead PHCL and look forward to navigating the exciting times ahead of us."
